ICU Garden Research

This website describes the research program associated with the ICU outside therapy area being built as part of the new Critical Care Centre at King's College Hospital.

The King's Critical Care Centre is a 60-bed State-Of-the Art Purpose Built Facility with a unique emphasis on design. It aims to enable resuscitation, stabilisation but also rehabilitation of patients who are critically ill. The  ICU Outside Therapy Area is central to the purpose of this building. It can accommodate patients receiving multi-organ support, and allows such patients to be cared for outside, in a much earlier part of their recovery than was ever previously possible. This website describes the research program that is designed to maximise the benefit of the investment in our roof garden for patients, their loved ones and all healthcare professionals that work in King's critical Care.
